I developed a 2D side-scroller with minimalist graphics for Ludum Dare 26. I am pretty proud of the game, which was developed using lua, love2D and the zoetrope framework. Lua was an interesting language to try, I enjoyed using it for its simplicity, but I was finding myself lacking some of the niceties of a large standard library. The zoetrope framework allowed me to get up and running quickly with a platformer but was not very flexible, so hampered me later on during the process. That said it was a good experience and I don't regret it. Looking forward to the next Ludum Dare in December!
